Nightclub & Event Venue Marketing Los Angeles
Saturday gets decided on Wednesday, when people scroll to find a plan. We film your nights, post the clips while they are fresh and promote the next event to the crowd that goes out.
Quick answer
Clouds Agency films and promotes nightlife for Los Angeles nightclubs, lounges and event venues. A real person on our team plans the weekly content calendar, shoots the room on the night, edits clips for same-night posting, books creators for the guest list and runs paid promotion for specific dates, with your approver signing off.
Three ways a good night goes unseen
Nobody filmed the room
The best moment of the night happens once. Without a crew on the floor, you are left with a few shaky guest clips and no footage of the DJ, the lights or the crowd to promote the next date.
Promotion starts too late
A flyer posted two days before the event gives people little time to plan. Weekly rhythm matters: a first announcement, a lineup, a recap and a reminder.
Guest lists with no follow-through
Inviting creators can fill the room, but only if the right ones come and they actually post. We match creators to your crowd and confirm what they will deliver.
How We Help
What we build for nightclubs and venues
Event night video
A small crew films the room, the performances and the crowd. We edit and deliver clips quickly so you can post the same night or the next morning.
TikTok and Instagram posting
We schedule the week around your event calendar: announcements, lineups, recaps and standing posts about the venue itself.
Creator guest lists
We shortlist Los Angeles nightlife and lifestyle creators, coordinate who attends and agree on what they will post. You approve the list.
Paid event promotion
Meta and TikTok ads for specific dates, targeted by area and age range. Ad spend is paid to the platforms and billed separately from our fees.
Hiring Checklist
What to ask when you hire for nightclub and venue marketing
Nightlife has its own rules around alcohol, guests and promoters. These questions show whether an agency has worked in it.
Approval
Who approves a clip at 1 a.m. on a Saturday?
Same-night posting only works if one person on your side can say yes quickly.
- Good answer: a named approver, agreed turnaround windows and a list of clips that never go out without review
Alcohol
How do you handle alcohol in posts and ads?
Meta's policy sets 18 as a floor and defers to local law for higher ages, and its own list shows 21 for the US. TikTok has its own alcohol policy with stricter age targeting, so read the live pages before each campaign.
- Good answer: they read the live policy pages and show alcohol content only to legal drinking age audiences
- General information, not legal advice. Your license terms come first
Guests
How do you handle consent and privacy on the floor?
Guests did not agree to appear in an ad. Door signage helps but does not cover every shot.
- Good answer: signs at entry, no filming in restrooms or private areas, and removal of a clip when a guest asks
Creators
What do creators agree to before they come?
Comped entry or a bottle can be a material connection the FTC expects creators to disclose. Brands can share responsibility for the briefs they send.
- Good answer: a written brief with deliverables, posting date, disclosure wording and rights if you want to reuse their post in an ad
Promoters
Whose rules apply to the DJ and the promoter's night?
Headliners and outside promoters may restrict filming, set embargoes or control reuse of their set.
- Good answer: they ask for the artist's filming terms and promoter agreements before the night, not after
Safety
What does the crew do if something goes wrong?
Fights, injuries and security incidents happen. Footage of them can harm guests and the venue.
- Good answer: the crew follows security, stops filming and never posts incident footage without your review
Questions people ask
Can you film an event and post it the same night?
Often, yes, if we agree on a plan ahead of time. We confirm who is on site, which clips matter most and how fast you want them. Final timing depends on the edit and your approval.
How do you handle alcohol and age rules in ads?
Meta and TikTok both have policies for alcohol and age-restricted content, and we follow them when we write and target ads. We keep creative and targeting in line with the platform rules and your license terms. We do not give legal advice, so check specifics with your own counsel.
Do guests need to consent to being filmed?
Venues generally post signs and notices about filming at the door. We recommend you set that up, and we avoid close-ups of identifiable guests unless they agree.
How do influencer guest lists work?
You tell us the vibe and the events. We suggest creators, confirm who attends and agree on posts. Terms are settled before the night, and we send you a recap of what was posted.
What do you need from us before we start?
Your event calendar and lineup details, plus the name of whoever on your team approves content. A social media content package can start within about two weeks of kickoff.
Why did Instagram or TikTok mute the music in our event video?
Platforms license music for their own apps, and rules differ by account type. Meta says its licensed library is meant for personal use and some business accounts lack access, though its Sound Collection is available. A club's own performance license does not cover posting recordings online. Use platform-approved audio or original tracks.
Who owns the footage of a DJ's set?
It depends on the agreements. The venue may own the video it commissions, while the DJ or label owns the music in it and may have filming terms in their contract. Ask for those terms before the night, and agree in writing where the footage may run. General information, not legal advice.
Can we repost guest and creator videos from our night?
Ask first. The person who films a clip generally owns it, so reposting without permission can cause a copyright dispute and annoy the guest. Tagging, collaboration posts and written permission by direct message all work. For paid ads, get clear permission for that use.
What should a venue's Google Business Profile include?
Correct hours, a primary category that matches the venue, current photos, a working website and booking link, and recent updates or event posts. Keep your name, address and phone number identical to the website. Google sets the guidelines, and no one can promise a ranking.
