Studio IT
Studio IT and workflow fixes for film and post.
When a timeline stutters, a render crawls or a shared drive keeps dropping, the cause is usually in the storage, the network or the settings between them. The guides below show how to find it.
If you would rather hand it to a person, plug us in. A real person on our team will look at your setup with you.

Questions people ask
Who is this for?
Post houses, production companies, agencies and creators with a video team whose network, shared storage or editing setup is slow or unreliable. It also suits teams that have no IT person and need someone to look at the whole chain.
What happens when I plug you in?
A real person on our team reads your request and replies within one business day. They ask about your editing app, storage, connection and what you are seeing, then tell you what they would check first.
Do you replace our IT person?
No. We can work with the person you have, or cover the gap if you do not have one. Either way you get a written list of what we found, in the order we would fix it.
Which tools and hardware do you work with?
Fortinet, Synology, QNAP, OWC, Blackmagic Design, Frame.io and LucidLink, plus the editing apps your team already uses. If your gear is something else, tell us and we will say so plainly if it is outside what we do.
Do you work outside Los Angeles?
We are based in Los Angeles. A review of your network, storage settings and workflow can often start remotely. Anything physical, such as cabling or a rack, needs someone on site.
Are the guides a substitute for professional help?
They are a way to find the likely cause yourself. Behavior varies by version and setup, so each guide says what to check first and when to stop and ask someone.
Plug us in
Tell us what is happening in your edit bay.
Say what you are working in, what you see and when it started. A real person on our team reads every request and replies within one business day.
Have a project in mind?
Tell us what you are working on and we will tell you how we would handle it.
